Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Is the proposal aligned with the goals of TP program?

  • Capabilities: The proposal will explore and/or build capabilities that are new in BII
  • Learning: The proposal will allow the applicant and the institute to gain an understanding of a new technology or methodology
  • Potential: The topic has potential to contribute to core missions of one of the BII programs

 

Is the proposal feasible as proposed?

  • Applicant/Team: The applicant/team is capable of executing on the proposal
  • Timeline: The proposed activities are realistic for the time frame suggested
  • Resources: The requested resources are adequate and reasonable to support the proposal activities

 

What are the deliverables for the proposal?

  • Small Project (<1k funding): Expectation is minimally a report summarizing the findings and learnings in form of a presentation
  • Large Project (>1k funding): Report to include a follow-up strategy, ways to leverage learnings/outcomes into industry collaboration, grant applications, etc.
